The trend of singers turning actors is going wider day by day. Starting from Ali Zafar to Atif Aslam to Gohar Mumtaz, Now it’s Ali Azmat and stylish model turned singer Meesha Shaafi, who will be making their acting debut in Bilal Lashari’s first full-length feature film Waar.
Waar is an action/thriller and drama film, written by Hassan Waqas Rana and is said to be Pakistan’s most expensive film up to date.
Apart from Meesha Shaafi, who is also rumored to be acting in Hollywood’s Reluctant Fundamentalist, and Ali Azmat, the film also stars Shaan Shahid in lead role. Shamoon Abbasi as a villain and Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hassan Waqas Rana are among other brand new actors.
In addition to that, It will be the first ever film to come out of subcontinent on 4k resolution (movies like 127 hours and 300 were made on the same camera) The film is produced by MindWorks Media with Warner Bros and will release worldwide by the end of this year.
